The rules for playing Global Conflict Simulator, using this website and getting our launch news. Please read them before you play.

1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Epic Dragon Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). They cover Global Conflict Simulator and its demo, with their updates and everything in them (together, "the game"), this website, and our launch news. By installing or playing the game, or by using this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install or play the game or use the website.
If you get the game from a store, that store's own terms also apply to your account with it, your purchase and its services. For the game itself, these terms apply as well.
If you are under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian, who agrees to them for you.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be taken away (see section 16).

3. Who owns the game
The game and this website, including their code, artwork, maps as drawn for the game, music, sound, text, characters, the Codex, the selection and arrangement of their world data, and their look and feel, belong to Epic Dragon Pty Ltd or to those who licensed them to us. They are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws in Australia and in other countries through international treaties.
"Global Conflict Simulator", "GCS", "Truth Xquare", and the game's logo and emblem are trade marks of Epic Dragon Pty Ltd. You may not use them in a way that suggests a product, service or website is ours, or is endorsed by us, when it is not.
We keep every right we do not expressly give you in these terms.
4. Your licence to play
The game is licensed to you, not sold. When you get the game, or the free demo, from us or a seller we have authorised, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install it and play it, for your own non-commercial entertainment, on computers you own or control, as long as you follow these terms and the rules of the store you got it from.
A copy of the game from anywhere else, such as a file-sharing site or an unofficial download, comes with no licence, and playing it is not permitted.
5. What the licence does not allow
Unless we agree in writing, or a law expressly allows it despite this agreement (see section 13 for the open-source parts), you may not, and may not help or allow anyone else to:
- copy, share, upload, distribute or make available the game or any part of it, including its installers, files, data, saved-game formats or AI files, except as the store's normal installing and cloud saves need;
- sell, rent, lend, lease, sublicense or otherwise transfer the game or your licence, or give access to it for money (for example in an internet cafe or a paid service) or other commercial gain;
- crack, bypass, disable, remove or tamper with any copy protection, encryption, licence check, store integration or other technical measure that controls access to the game or protects it. These measures are also protected by law, including the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) in Australia;
- make, publish, sell or use cracks, key generators, loaders, patches or other tools that do any of the above, or that unlock content you have not licensed;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt or unpack the game, or extract its code, art, sound, music, text or data;
- modify the game or make works based on it, other than the videos, streams and screenshots allowed in section 6;
- use the game, its content or this website's content to train, fine-tune or test an artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or to build a dataset;
- remove or change any copyright, trade mark or other notice in the game;
- use the game in a way that breaks the law, or that infringes anyone's rights.
Breaking these rules breaks our copyright and other rights, and we may take legal action to protect them (see section 14).
6. Videos, streams and screenshots
We want you to show the game to the world. You may stream it, record videos of it, share screenshots and write about it, and earn money from that through the platforms you publish on (such as advertising, memberships or donations), as long as:
- your work shows real play or commentary and is not a way to get the game without buying it (for example, no full music or video rips, and no game files);
- you do not share or link to pirated copies, cracks or ways around the game's protection;
- you do not suggest that we sponsor or endorse you unless we have agreed to;
- you do not present what the game's AI leaders say as statements by real people, or edit it to look real (see section 7);
- you follow the law and the rules of the platform you publish on.
Please name the game and link to our store page where you can. Your own work, voice and commentary stay yours. We may ask you to take down something that breaks these rules.
7. The AI and what it writes
The leaders, the press and the posts in the game are written by an AI that runs on your computer, in answer to what you and the game ask of it. What it writes is generated in the moment: it can be unexpected, wrong or, despite our safeguards, unsuitable. It does not state our views, and it is not advice of any kind (political, legal, financial, military or otherwise).
You are responsible for what you write in the game and for anything you publish from it. Do not use the game to produce content that is unlawful, harassing, or that defames a real person.
Global Conflict Simulator is a work of fiction. Real countries, places and political offices appear as its setting, but everything that happens in the game is simulated. Leaders' personalities, traits and temperaments are invented for the game and vary at random from game to game; they are not statements about any real person. The leaders' replies quoted on this site were written by the game's AI, not by any real person, and any resemblance between events in the game and real people or events is coincidental. The game is not endorsed by, affiliated with or sponsored by any government, political party or political figure.
8. Using this website
You may read this website and share links to it. You may quote short parts of it, with a link back, for review, news or commentary. Otherwise, you may not copy, republish or sell its content or pictures.
Do not scrape, crawl or copy the website in bulk (search engines indexing it for search are welcome), interfere with how it works, or try to get into parts of it or of its hosting that are not public. Links to other websites are for your convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
9. Launch news and plans
Preregistering for launch news is free and does not commit you to buy anything. It does not reserve a copy, a price or early access, unless we say so clearly at the time.
The game is still being made. Our plans, including the launch date, the features, content and requirements described on this website, and the pictures and replies shown, may change before or after launch. What you get is the game as described on its store page when you buy it.
10. Purchases and refunds
You buy the game from the store you choose, which sets the price you pay and handles payment and refunds under its own policies. You also keep your rights under consumer law (see section 16).
11. Updates
We may release updates that fix, change, add or remove parts of the game, for example to fix problems, improve balance or follow the law. Some updates may be needed to keep playing. The game is made to work offline, but we cannot promise to keep updating it forever.
12. Your ideas and feedback
We love hearing ideas, but we cannot treat them as confidential. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them for free, for any purpose, without owing you anything. This does not apply to personal data, which our privacy policy covers.
13. Third-party and open-source parts
The game includes work by others, such as open-source software, AI models, fonts, map data and photographs, each under its own licence. The game's Credits name them, and their licence texts come with the game. Those licences apply to those parts, and nothing in these terms limits the rights they give you. These terms cover everything else in the game, and the game as a whole.
14. Reporting piracy and copyright problems
We protect our work. We may send takedown notices about copies of the game, cracks and stolen content, ask stores and platforms to remove them, and take legal action, including for damages and court orders.
If you find a pirated copy, a crack or our content used without permission, please email contact@epicdragon.com.au with "Piracy" in the subject and a link to where you found it.
If you believe something in the game or on this website uses your work or your image without permission, email us with "Copyright" in the subject: say what it is and where, why you have the right to complain, and how to reach you. We will look into it promptly, and remove or correct it if needed.
15. When the licence ends
Your licence lasts until it ends. It ends straight away, without notice, if you break section 5 or another important part of these terms. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the game and deleting your copies. When it ends, you must stop playing and delete the game. Sections 3, 5, 7, 12, 14 and 16 to 19 keep applying after it ends.
16. Your rights under consumer law
The game comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If you are a consumer elsewhere, such as in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the law where you live may also give you rights that cannot be excluded, for example remedies when digital content is faulty or not as described. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights.
17. Warranties and liability
Apart from the rights in section 16, the game and this website are provided "as is", and we give no other promises, including that they will be free of errors or always available. Please keep your computer and saved games backed up.
As far as the law allows:
- where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit our liability for not meeting a guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the game again or paying the cost of having it supplied again;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill;
- our total liability to you in connection with the game and these terms is limited to what you paid for the game.
None of this limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
18. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland can hear disputes about them. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
If you have a problem, please email us first. Most things can be put right quickly.
19. General
- We may change these terms, for example when the game, the law or our services change. We will update the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the game's update notes. Changes do not apply to anything that happened before them.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to someone who takes over the game, without reducing your rights.
- These terms, with the documents they name, are the whole agreement between you and us about the game and this website.
Questions about these terms: contact@epicdragon.com.au.
